Schsehof Palace, located in Memmelsdorf near Bamberg, is a historic chateau that was originally a hunting and country house from the late 15th century. The current structure with its distinctive corner towers was begun in 1687, based on plans by Italian-born architect Antonio Petrini, under the Bamberger prince-bishop Marquard Sebastian Schenk von Stauffenberg. It was completed by the end of the 18th century and has undergone various remodelings, including the enhancement of a White Hall and the addition of impressive gardens with sculptures and water features. The palace features nine richly decorated rooms that visitors can explore after extensive renovations. Its park, with a large cascade and sculptures, is a notable example of Rococo garden design, restored and functioning with water displays since 1995. Schloss Seehof offers guided tours, from April to November, with a variety of themed exhibitions and a virtual tour that provides a new perspective on this historic site.
